Health Needs Assessments

We work in collaboration with local providers and service users to provide high quality evidence to better understand the needs of your local population, both now and in the future.

A health needs assessment is a recommended public health tool to provide evidence about a population on which to plan services and address health inequalities. It provides an opportunity to engage with specific populations and enable them to contribute to targeted service planning and resource allocation and provides an opportunity for cross-sectoral partnership working and developing creative and effective interventions

We work in collaboration with local providers and service users to provide high quality evidence to better understand the needs of your local population, both now and in the future. Progress Health Partnerships ensure that: A needs assessment is designed specially to meet your particular requirements; that it describes the local context and maps local services; that it engages with local stakeholders and service users to understand their needs; it incorporates health intelligence data with benchmarking against peer group areas; provides a synthesis and analysis of relevant local and national datasets; reviews published evidence to identify the most appropriate and cost effective solutions; and highlights gaps in service provision
